After working 21 days this month - not bad for someone retired !!! I wasn't needed today :) so with the wind offshore there was not many options :( so I arranged to met old friend Neil Hurrel at Alton Water. I arrived just past 10 and the wind was light and one sailor was going out with 9m !!! so Neil and I both rigged 9.4 and I went on my Xantos 310 for the first and the sail was fine :) The wind was light and gusty as usual at Alton and you were doing everything not to fall in the cold water!!! and I was getting in the low 20 kts :( The wind filled in in patches so I switched to the Xantos 295 and 7.8 and increased my speed to 28 kts but the wind here is horrendously gusty and if this was windsurfing I wouldn't do it !!! still it was good to catch up with Neil :)
