Arrived at 4pm. Nicely powered with 5.8 RS MK II and 20 cm Slingshot. Had a few good runs on the bar and one hell of a side ways moment at the end of one run. Caught some chop and just managed to save it averting a severe catapult. Dave informed me I should have been on the bar an hour earlier as the wind was true SW and flatter. BUGGER!!!
In hindsight perhaps 30cm Viper or 28 Venom would have been a faster option. Next time!!
Good sail and well worth the drive south from the hell chop of the North Shore Auckland Harbour. PB average.
