Finally a nice day on the water! Wind was about 7-9 m/s. Made some comparission tests between the Isonic 110 and the Falcon 102 today. I was a little disappointed on the Isonic at Haga some weeks ago, when using the weed fin, but today with the strait Hurricane SR5 it was a copletely different board!! At these windspeeds the Isoic was faster in everything, especially upwind, but even my fastest run (top speed) today was done with the Isonic.Tried also a Select weed XL 36 cm to see if that would work, but no... I simply cant get the Isonic going with a weed fin :-(. Unfortunately all slalomracing in Sweden is at Haga where you often need a weed fin. The Falcon 102 planes early for being such a small board. Speeds where just somewhat lower than the Isonic so still not bad at all (top speed was 28,9 and cross/upwind average about 1-2 knot slower than the Isonic). I was using a C3 Venom 36cm on the Falcon 102. Tried also the Sting 40, but that was just too big for the Falcon.
