Yet another windy day here in Felixstowe - is there no end to all this sun and wind !!! :) With the tide not right until early afternoon Mag and I had time to relax in our garden unheard of for us !!! So I was at The Dip at 1:30 and with the wind 22/25 mph I thought this could be the day for a rare 30 kts at Felixstowe and fingers crossed for a 30 kt ave ??? Rigged as yesterday and headed up to the River Deben in a good breeze and again beating in the open sea with a small fin is slow going. I was a bit early for the best flatwater but keept trying and my runs got faster and faster starting at 26 kts and ending with 31 kts !!! :) only the second time I have broken 30 kts here in Suffolk !!! and in the end I was only one more good run for a 30 kt ave !!! With the course perfect  - even if a bit short the wind eased so I beat out over a mile and tried for a mile and only just missed 25 kts in a big swell - this was a great run :) After a snack and putting in a bigger fin had a few more runs but the tide had turned and the wind dropped and I had a long walk back to the van after sailing broad but it didn't spoil a top day - loads out too :)
